QATAR TABLE TENNIS HISTORY
Table Tennis Sport has ever known Qataris since the fifties, were practiced within the sports clubs and clubs companies as a sport, entertainment and also was practiced at the level of Qatar's schools, from here it's beginning established Qatar Table Tennis in 1962. and in the sixties.. and after the birth of the Sports Federation of the country saw this game attention by clubs more than ever before, The number of clubs participating in the activities of the Union has reached eight clubs: Al-Ahly - Al-Rayyan - Al-Shamal - Al-Arabi - Qatar - Al-Nahdha - Al-Wakra. then Table Tennis League kicked off at the level of clubs Qatar; schools and more organized after the declaration of the Supreme Sports Commission officially in 1964.
The first table tennis team to Qatar is Qatar Schools team, which
participated in the session of Arab school which was held in Kuwait at 1963, and like the Qatar national team in all of that session: Mubarak Faraj Al-Ali, Zaid Nasser, Issa Najm, Yousuf Al-Saai.
In 1964, Shaikh/ Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Sports Committee of the supreme decree no.
